We have a disabled daughter and got this little camera to be able to allow her the freedom of playing in her room without having us right there with her. It enables us to watch in case she needs us. The only difficulty we have had is mounting the camera in a place where we can see her entire room. When we use the plug it weighs the little camera down so it records things sideways. Otherwise it is simple to use, simple to connect to my computer and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to monitor a young child. We are very happy with our purchase.

I’ve never had a baby-cam or any similar item before so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it comes with plenty of features (including a night light!) and the night-vision was pretty impressive (well, I had really low expectations and I’m not saying it was Hollywood-movie-quality, in fact it wasn’t even like the sleeping baby picture that the company uses but it did it’s job fairly very well, more like one of those security cameras in stores really.) But I mean come on guys, if you want professional quality footage of your kids, go buy an expensive camera, don’t get mad at a BABY MONITOR for not doing a job it’s not intended to do.

It was extremely easy to figure out and i was able to set it up in minutes. all wires and things came included. And you don’t need a baby to find uses for this thing. i just leave it on at my house to see what the cats are doing. and i have it right across from my front door just in case anyone beaks in (or the landlord wanders in for some reason) I’ll know immediately.

This camera will not work with my computer. I have Windows Vista/not a Mac! When I plug in the USB it does not light up and I get a message that it is not recognized. It does, however, work on my daughter’s computer; and I know that my USB is not faulty since I use it for other programs.

I have been corresponding with the company for a couple of weeks and this is their final message:

“At this time we are finding that this device does not seem to be compatible with some processors on new PC’s. At this time we are currently looking into a resolution for this issue, most likely in the for of a software update. At this time you have the option of waiting for a resolution (which I cannot unfortunately give you a time line on) or if you just recently purchased the item and you do not wish to wait you can contact the reseller you purchased from and see about returning it for a refund.”

I’m using this to spy on my kids when they use the internet in the playroom upstairs. I can now monitor how much time they’re on it and whether they’re doing homework or playing games. It can even alert me to motion and record, so if I suspected that kids were playing on the internet in the middle of the night, I could easily check.

    Really cool!

Got this to watch the grandbaby remotely when she spends the night. I’m not comfortable having her in the crib upstairs while I stay downstairs after bedtime, so I got this to help keep an eye out.

The night vision is okay, but the nightlights on either side of the camera have to be on. That’s not an issue for her now, but it might be in the future.

I like what the camera does to keep an eye on her, but I was unable to set this up myself – router was incompatible. I ended up paying Best Buy’s Geek Squad to come and get it going.

If you have technical expertise, you’d probably be okay. The camera does the job once you get it hooked up.
